Square Jaw Reduction

Square jaw reduction entails cutting off or filing down the angle of the mandible from either a hidden incision inside the mouth or from an external incision through the skin.
Jaw reduction is often performed in conjunction with chin surgery.

Also known as jaw shaving or mandibular reduction, the enlarged outer portion of the mandible is cut off or filed down using a rotating metal burr introduced through either a skin incision or a hidden incision inside of the mouth.
